What we do

Elements Arctic Camp is a small family business that offers a unique holistic nature- and culture-based experience product based on an outdoor camp with accommodation in our two yurts. We mainly offer private, personalized tours with everything included. Year-round sea kayaking is our main activity, but we also offer hiking, fishing, skiing and snowshoeing.

Food and drink are included, local products as far as possible (fish, meat, pastries, vegetables). The guests will get close to and learn about arctic wildlife and coastal life and coastal history.

The camp is located close to the Nordkvaløya-Rebbenesøya Landscape protection area, which is representative of the coastal culture in Troms. The area has several nature reserves as well as a marine protected area. There are significant seabird colonies (summertime) as well as other fauna and quaternary geological deposits. In addition to the biological diversity, the area are rich in cultural heritages dating back to the Stone Age, also including samic culture. Of other historical interest, the camp is located directly on the route of soldier Jan Baalsrud during his escape in 1943 from the Germans, one of the wildest most unfathomable survival stories of World War II.

We cooperate with other local providers and wintertime it is for example possible to add a samic experience to our trips. In summary our guests will get the feeling “back to nature”, be able to do exciting activities, get close to and learn about arctic wildlife and coastal life and history, and stay in a comfortable yurt with cozy beds and enjoy nice food.
